Yael Pahmer (SLP)
Yael is a pediatric speech-language therapist with over 30 years of experience working with children from birth through high school. Her particular areas of expertise are in receptive and expressive language disorders, literacy instruction, working with students who are struggling readers and writers and working with children with social-pragmatic language disorders. She is experienced with a variety of students, including children with autism, executive dysfunction, dyslexia, ADHD and language learning delays. She particularly enjoys engaging older elementary through high school students, helping them to expand their academic and functional language skills. She is flexible, creative and a firm believer in motivating children by following their interests and lead. She is passionate about the importance of helping every one to feel successful which in turn motivates them to try harder. She recently made aliyah with her family, to a new yishuv outside of Bet Shemesh.
