Terms of Service
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following are the disclaimers, terms and conditions for use of the services provided by OPS Therapy Israel (hereinafter referred to as "OPS Therapy Israel” or "we”) and this website (the "Site"). Your acceptance of services from OPS Therapy Israel and your access to and use of any material on the Site constitutes acceptance of, and is conditional upon your acceptance of and compliance with the disclaimer, and the terms and conditions set forth herein (collectively referred to as "Terms of Use").
By accessing and using this Site, you agree to be bound by the Terms of Use. Do not use this Site unless you agree to the Terms of Use.
Changes to Site or Terms of Use
We reserve the right to discontinue or to make partial or complete modifications to this Site and to make changes to the Terms of Use at our own discretion and without prior announcement.
Continued use of this Site following the posting of any changes will constitute acceptance of those changes. The next time you visit this Site, you must view the Terms of Use again and take note of any amendments that may have been made.
Our Services and Therapists:
OPS Therapy Israel is committed to providing exceptional therapists to our clients. We were founded with the realization that fulfilling the dream of moving to Israel (“Aliyah”) should not come at the expense of receiving the best therapy and care in one’s native language. OPS Therapy Israel was created by Olim for Olim, and to connect our network of experienced and trained English speaking therapists to our clients.
All of our Therapists are licensed in Israel as either Occupational, Physical or Speech Therapists.
Treatment Sessions
By scheduling treatments sessions, either at home, online, or at another location, your child is expected to attend. You will be billed in advance of a session, and payment may be made by bank transfer, credit card, or BIT, and must be received no later than 2 business days before a session is held.
Safety
A parent/caregiver is expected to be present either in the room or within the home or other venue for the duration of each session. The Therapist is not responsible for looking after additional siblings present in the home, venue or within the therapy space. Parents / caregivers are expected to be responsible for their children when not in the direct contact of the Therapist (outside of any treatment area provided) whether in the home or other venue. In the family home, the area provided for the Therapist to work within should be free of sharp objects on the floor, clean, and any pets removed from the vicinity, and placed in another room. Please do not smoke in the presence of the child or the Therapist. Parents/caregivers are responsible for children/family members attending the Clinic space and their safety outside the building.
The Therapist will treat the child/adult with respect and use appropriate language and dress code. It is expected that the patient and parent/caregiver will address the Therapist with equal respect and wear appropriate clothing and use appropriate language. Any physical, verbal or emotional abuse towards the Therapist by the patient or parent/caregiver at any time will result in the termination of the session, and no refund for such session will be made. Patients whose condition involves potential for harm (either physical, verbal or emotional) either towards themselves or others should have such issues notified to the Therapist in advance.
Equipment
The Therapist is generally responsible for provision of the Therapy equipment required (unless otherwise agreed), apart from ‘consumable’ items such as play dough, therapy brushes, oral motor toys, which will need to be purchased by the parent/caregiver in advance, on the advice of the Therapist, if to be used on a regular basis within therapy sessions. This is due to this type of item being only suitable for single child use, where hygiene and infection control regulations recommend that it is not re-used with other children.
Treatment
Therapy treatment will take place either at home, online, or other venue depending on need. Treatment can be flexible to the Patient’s and family’s needs. Treatment will include goal setting with the Patient, family and school (where appropriate) and will be adjusted and reviewed as the therapist and/or patient or family sees fit.
Cancellation of Appointments
Our therapy treatment sessions run for 45 minutes and may be delivered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. If you cannot make a session please let us know, giving as much warning as you can. Of course, we will contact you should it be necessary for our Therapists to reschedule but please be assured this seldom happens. Once you have booked a session, this time is yours/ your child’s; if you arrive late to a session, the Therapist may still need to end at your regular scheduled ending time due to other scheduled appointments or commitments.
We operate a sliding scale of cancellation/no show charges. This is because, unlike other branches of medicine, our Therapists set aside large blocks of reserved time for your appointment, especially for assessments and will have prepared for it. Cancellation within 24 hours or on the day/no show will result in a charge of 100% of the anticipated fee.
We understand that people fall ill and accidents occur, but our Therapists are also committing their time as well. If you have to cancel, please do so by cancelling through the calendar invite that you received – an email must be deemed not received unless we acknowledge it.
If you have any questions or want to reschedule/cancel, please contact us at opstherapyisrael@gmail.com
Other Appointments / Documentation / Confidentiality
If you need to contact your therapist urgently in-between sessions, then of course we will try and make them available, providing it is for a short period of time, typically there will be no charge. However, if this were to become regular, we may suggest a time you attend an additional session. The Therapists do not have the capacity to undertake regular emails or phone calls outside of scheduled sessions. If you require this level of communication, then this time will have to be scheduled and charged at applicable hourly rates.
Where a family request the Therapist to attend meetings either at school or with other agencies (e.g. Annual Review meetings), the Therapist will charge the hourly rate plus travel time and fuel costs. Documentation required outside of treatment e.g. reports for education purposes, referrals to other professions, letters, etc. will be charged at the hourly rate pro-rata for time spent on the task which will include planning, typing, copying and posting.
Non-Solicitation
You understand and agree that OPS Therapy Israel expended significant time and expense developing the Site and gathering a collection of experienced professional Therapists to make available to its clients using the Site. You understand and agree that upon receiving an introduction to a Therapist through the Site and for a period of twelve (12) months after your last session with a Therapist through OPS Therapy Israel, you, both directly and indirectly, will not attempt to obtain therapy services with any Therapist who is or was under contract with OPS Therapy Israel at any time while you were receiving services through OPS Therapy Israel other than through OPS Therapy Israel.
